What’s on for kids at Easter in the Cairngorms National Park?
Here are a few events being held in the Cairngorms National Park, which should help you keep the kids entertained during the Easter Holidays.

Easter Fun at Landmark Forest Adventure Park, Carrbridge
Meet the Easter bunny and join the massive Easter egg hunts throughout the park. There are over 8,000 eggs to find and some special golden eggs too.

Come and help Mother hen find all her chicks, who have escaped around the museum.

Annual Puppet Animation Festival, The Pagoda, Grantown on Spey
Make your own rod puppet
17th April 2019, 2pm – 3pm
Oscar and the Highland Castle Puppet Show, The Pagoda, Grantown on Spey
Oscar and Incey Wincey Spider go back in time to help Robert the Bruce.
A puppet show using ultraviolet effects, shadow puppetry and Scottish music to weave a charming and magical story for all ages.

Open day at Alba Chocolate, Newtonmore
It’s that time of year again! Come along to explore our chocolate kitchen and have a chat. Find out how we make our chocolates, have a go at dunking a truffle or decorating a chocolate bar and explore the science of chocolate. Of course, we’ll have samples and Easter sales too. There will be a raffle in aid of the John Muir Trust, who protect Scotland’s wild places.

Wild Toddle, Highland Wildlife Park, Kincraig
We’re putting on a day of fun and special events designed especially for toddlers. With mini-beast hunts in the wildlife garden to making your own flower bombs, and even a special appearance from Ruby and Zed, there’s lots to do on this family day out.
20th April 2019, 10am – 5pm
Loch Garten Easter Egg-stravaganza
Join in the Easter eggy fun at the Loch Garten Osprey Centre with family activities to keep little and big ones engaged and interactive with nature. We’ll have an ‘Animals of the Pine Forest’ quest followed by egg painting, a spoon race and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Price: Usual entry fee applies plus £2 per child for Easter activities

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and Open day at the Mar Lodge Estate, Braemar
Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to the magic of our Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt! Get ready for a day of fun as you and your family discover the special places the National Trust for Scotland looks after. Follow bunny’s clues and complete your adventure to win a delicious chocolatey prize.
Open Day – come and learn about how an estate such as Mar Lodge is managed, then see the inside of Mar Lodge and the famous Stag Ballroom. Suitable for all the family, children’s activities will be available.
