Luxury accommodation in a converted 250 year old mill
Enjoy a luxury hot tub break in Nethy Bridge
The Maltings was once the heart of this small community outside Nethybridge when it was the Mill of Garylne, an oat mill which would have provided employment in the area. We know how much scots like their porridge and the Mill would have been especially important to the community. Powered by the Allt Mor Burn, which eventually joins the River Spey.
Sympathetically restored into a family home, The Maltings is now treating guests to luxury hot tub breaks in the Cairngorms. It retains the some of the inner workings, and a very large grinding wheel is now a table base at the bar! You could discover some lovely local Malts whist sitting in a place full of heritage and charm.
The property is a country home from top to bottom. The owner has carefully used heritage colours and coordinating soft furnishings throughout. It is warm and slate floors throughout just add to the rustic charm.
Immerse yourself in the great outdoors with this huge garden. Enough room for the kids to do as they please. A garden games room provides a space for adventures – just bring some imagination. A huge deck plays host to the luxury hot tub and very comfortable eating space. The nearby woods are full of ancient Caledonian pines, centuries old and you will want to go for a good explore as this is the biggest patch that remains in Scotland.
The Maltings is a fantastic family retreat, great for families who prefer the quietness of a rural holiday but are looking for a bit of quirk and charm.
