Sky Mountain lodge

The ultimate in the Large Holiday Home experience

Your family all under one roof

If it has been a long time since you have managed to get the family together, a trip to Sky Mountain Lodge could make that happen. Lovingly renovated to keep it's original period charm, and boast the very best of modern conveniences, this lovely lodge is the perfect large holiday home.

With commanding views of the Cairngorms, and of course the River Spey, which feeds the local Whisky distilleries, you will very quickly be immersed in romantic nostalgia and wonder about the stories this grand old house could tell.

Room for everyone

When you arrive at Sky Mountain Lodge, you will be greeted into a wonderful traditional hall with ornate and glamorous finishing's. It soon becomes clear that the bespoke kitchen is the beating heart of this home, with chefs able to talk to their family whilst lovingly preparing meals for them. Keep an eye on the kids as the deck sprawls out from here too, extending the space to the great outdoors. Adjacent to this wonderful space, is the dining room, which is complete with it's own stove and really sets the scene for long evening meals with lots of wine and merriment round the table.

The lounge retains all of its originality, especially the huge fireplace. Sink into the deep sofa's and enjoy the wonders of technology with some ambient sounds from the SONOS. Have we mentioned the original artwork yet? You might spend quite a bit of time moving through this gallery as literally every wall is adorned in dramatic pieces.

Children can run wild with their imagination in the bunkroom, which nests 4 singles beds into snug and bespoke spaces. A fantastic play space.

Bedroom spaces are also very spacious and retain original fireplaces and charm. With views over the hills, it is the perfect zone to sit with a coffee in the morning - a rare thing in our busy lives. All upper floor rooms boast en-suite bathrooms, so no big queue in the mornings.

Not to be outdone by a classy interior, the outdoor space is a breath of very fresh highland air! A hot tub sunk into the deck gives a place to enjoy the views in any weathers, and the outdoor cooking space brings family together for BBQ's or Hot Chocolates on frosty evenings. With mature trees. meandering hills and dramatic mountains, you will not tire of being outdoors here.

Sky Mountain Lodge is an obvious choice if you want to treat your family to something with a touch of class, a place to celebrate your wedding anniversary, or a special birthday. We love it, and if you have not stayed before, we know you will too.
