Wonderful accommodation in peaceful setting. Very spacious rooms and a very efficient log burner. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the large garden was perfect for outdoor games. Great for all ages – and dogs! Lots of activities nearby to suit everyone too.

This lodge is beyond our expectations. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again . The surrounding area is a peace of heaven and you really feel out of this world . We would like to thank the host for the treat on our arrival . If you book this lodge just rest assured that everything is taken care of.

Best Week Ever. Great Lodge that had everything we needed. Kids loved the Hot Tub and Bunk Beds, we loved the Comfy Bed and BBQ. Weather was out of this world. Purpose of the trip was that my partner and I were having a small wedding which ended up being on the Banks of Loch Insh (thanks to a lucky recommendation from one of the Lodge’s neighbours who thought we were lost during a previous reconnaissance mission to choose a wedding venue). The Loch is only half a mile or so walk from the Lodge so was great to be able to just walk back and chill round the BBQ with our kids and best man / bridesmaid afterwards. We were also allowed an extension to our check out on the Friday which was ace!!!

What a superb week! Fantastic lodge, it is very welcoming, beautiful decor & very spacious! The lodge had everything we needed & more! No it’s not ultra modern but it shouldn’t be for it’s setting, it was homely & suited us perfect. Having the multiple master bedrooms is ideal for pairs of adults holidaying together & are really hard to find as far as lodges go! As for location it was perfect, it’s wonderfully secluded, natural & quiet yet so close to the water-sports, hiking, zoo, not far at all from Aviemore! We’ve been to many lodges all over Scotland and this was by far the best, we also didn’t have to spend half of the holiday driving in the car! Finally after a busy day there was the unforgettable hot tub to relax in! Maybe the only thing that could of made it a wee more comfortable would be possibly some comfortable furniture in the garden for the older visitors, rather than an old picnic table, but that’s really not a negative, just something that would make it a wee more enjoyable in the garden! We’ll definitely be returning!

We had a really nice weeks stay, loads of Snow made it a real ‘winter wonderland’. Great location, plenty of walks, easy walk to a nice restarant and bar at the Water Sports Centre. Reasonably close to Aviemore and the Slopes.
The ratings options dont allow for a 3.8 and I didnt feel it justified a 4 for a number of reasons. When we arrived on the Friday we discovered that the Hot Tub was not ‘Hot’ and that there was no Cold Water in the upstairs on-suite bathroom. A service engineer and Hot Tub engineer sorted both problems on the Saturday – but surely this is something that should have been checked prior to our arrival. The Hot Tub water was only 10Deg so it had been faulty for quite a while. In the Kitchen/Dining Area the seat of one of the chairs was broken but had been put back in place to hide the fact. This was only discovered when my daughter went to sit on it and almost fell through. Surely there should be a basic checklist to make sure all the water is ‘flowing’. I agree with a previous comment made in November 2016! more proper glasses. Generally the the lodge is Ok but there were minor niggles like there were no scissors, no outside light by the Hot Tub, a couple of light bulbs had failed. The Car Port Light also failed towards the end of the week. The mattress in the upstairs bedroom is of the ‘sprung’ type and because of its age it is very uncomfatable to sleep on.
Owner comments – Thank you for the comments which have all been actioned. We do take your feedback to heart and spoke to everyone who helps us maintain the lodge. We would like you to know that we have been doing some upgrades and would love to welcome you back sometime. Please speak to GNL team about your returning guest discount. Thanks again for taking the time to review us.
Guest comment in return to owner “Thank you for taking on board our comments and promptly addressing them. The lodge is well worth
another visit for its location and facilities and, although unexpected, we very much appreciate the
discount offer for our next visit.”

Lovely house could do with some updating in a few areas We did have to call maintenence out a couple of times but everything was dealt with very quickly, despite this we had a fabulous stay hot tub was amazing didn’t want to leave
The bench has been removed from the front of the house and when the nicer weather comes I’ll order some nicer seating to go there.
I’ll order some pots and plants to brighten the front of the house and will speak to Colette about getting something planted out the back. We are planning to order larger rattan furniture set for back garden next Summer, which will make a difference.
We were planning to come up to see the house one weekend in November so I’ll have a proper look round then and arrange for anything else to be done that’s required
