Wonderful Weekend

We had an amazing long weekend staying at Bracken Lodge. There is plenty of room with the kitchen, living room and enclosed garden providing a perfect setting for socialising and relaxing. My Mum the entire weekend kept saying "It just has everything you need". Only a small improvement recommendation would be to have the chairlift area next to the hot tub a bit cleaner with somewhere you're able to hang towels. Would definitely plan to return - superb house in an excellent alpine feeling location!
This put a smile on our faces...we are delighted Bracken House had everything your mum needed to have a great stay!

This is the 3rd year weve stayed in this house and while we love it for location and space (and of course the hot tub), it feels like the house is becoming more tired as the years wear on.
Yes, there is an additional chair in the twin room upstairs, however nothing else has really changed in terms of decor over the course of the three years weve been staying.
The addition of the bike storage in the garage is however a welcome addition.
Over the course of our stay the front door lock was exceptionally temperamental and needs adjusting or replacing. One evening we couldnt unlock the door which caused a fair panic for our children however after a lot of jiggling of the key and the handle my husband got it open.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us for the third year running. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your honest feedback, your comments are valuable and we'll be sharing them with the property owner as part of our ongoing review process.
We will also follow up with the maintenance team to ensure the lock is inspected and any necessary repairs or replacement are carried out.

Hiking Break

5 of us stayed at Bracken House at the start of June for a hiking break, the house was excellent and plenty of room for the 5 of us
location was quiet but still only a 15-20min walk into town, we only used the hot tub once but it was a great way to sooth the aches and pains after long hikes in the cairngorms. we were lucky enough to spot a Red Deer in the woods above the house while relaxing in the tub.
The Kitchen was well kitted out and overall we were very comfortable there. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it for large families or a group of friends.
Its the 1st time I have used Great North Lodges & they were very professional and kept in touch by regular email contact so everything was stress free, there is also someone at the end of a phone too if you need them and they are easy to get in touch with which I found refreshing

Another fab holiday in Aviemore made so easy by booking through Great North Lodges - 4th different lodge I think and it didn’t fail to disappoint. Very well equipped in all the rooms, and the kitchen. So nice to have robes slippers for using the hot tub (which we did a lot!) and the major bonus with this hot tub is it’s undercover, no running down the garden in the cold! Would definitely book this lodge again. The app re: the home is so useful - remember to check it out for discounts to use in Aviemore too. Thanks GNL for helping make our holiday go well
