It extends 65 kilometres inland from the Sound of Bute, making it the longest of the sea lochs. Snuff box cottage is set on the shores of Loch Fyne in the village of Strachur. The village offers a shop, local pub and a bistro. The perfect base to explore the area and the miles of Loch Fyne's shores.
Established in 1745 the town is a set piece of Scottish Georgian architecture. Key buildings that are worth visiting include the neoclassical church, Inveraray Jail and courthouse, an award-winning museum that graphically recounts prison conditions of old.
Scotland's first national park and 'the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond' are just a short 30 minute drive from Snuff Box Cottage. The area offers a huge range of activities and things to see.
