  • We had a really nice weeks stay, loads of Snow made it a real ‘winter wonderland’. Great location, plenty of walks, easy walk to a nice restarant and bar at the Water Sports Centre. Reasonably close to Aviemore and the Slopes.
    The ratings options dont allow for a 3.8 and I didnt feel it justified a 4 for a number of reasons. When we arrived on the Friday we discovered that the Hot Tub was not ‘Hot’ and that there was no Cold Water in the upstairs on-suite bathroom. A service engineer and Hot Tub engineer sorted both problems on the Saturday – but surely this is something that should have been checked prior to our arrival. The Hot Tub water was only 10Deg so it had been faulty for quite a while. In the Kitchen/Dining Area the seat of one of the chairs was broken but had been put back in place to hide the fact. This was only discovered when my daughter went to sit on it and almost fell through. Surely there should be a basic checklist to make sure all the water is ‘flowing’. I agree with a previous comment made in November 2016! more proper glasses. Generally the the lodge is Ok but there were minor niggles like there were no scissors, no outside light by the Hot Tub, a couple of light bulbs had failed. The Car Port Light also failed towards the end of the week. The mattress in the upstairs bedroom is of the ‘sprung’ type and because of its age it is very uncomfatable to sleep on.

  • Lovely house could do with some updating in a few areas We did have to call maintenence out a couple of times but everything was dealt with very quickly, despite this we had a fabulous stay hot tub was amazing didn’t want to leave

     

    Owner feedback

    The bench has been removed from the front of the house and when the nicer weather comes I’ll order some nicer seating to go there.

    I’ll order some pots and plants to brighten the front of the house and will speak to Colette about getting something planted out the back. We are planning to order larger rattan furniture set for back garden next Summer, which will make a difference.

    We were planning to come up to see the house one weekend in November so I’ll have a proper look round then and arrange for anything else to be done that’s required

  • Great living / dining area and garden (hot tub)

    We enjoyed the good walking areas / trails

    We would have appreciated a few more proper glasses for dinner.
