Reindeer House

This is our second stay this year at Reindeer House. We love the location totally private and pretty much in a forest. The Jacuzzi is the icing on the cake. The house is everything described and more. Comfortably sleeping 6 and pet friendly. We would Definately recommend. Thank you.

We had a wonderful week staying at Reindeer House with our young family! The lodge had everything we needed, and in a great location for exploring the cairngorms. It was also lovely being able to use the hot tub once the kids were in bed at the end of the day. The garden was a wildlife haven - hundreds of birds, we saw red squirrels on quite a number of occasions, as well as a pine marten eating from the squirrel feeder. On arrival the bird and squirrel feeders were stuffed full of seeds and nuts and these lasted for most of the week. Be sure to top up the water dish near the hot tub as the wildlife all used this regularly and it was a great place to spot wildlife from the dining room and kitchen. Our favourite days out were to the Cairngorms reindeer hill walk, highland wildlife park, steam train from aviemore, Loch Eilien (wonderful picnic spot!) and the mountain railway. Loads of local walks, all stunning. We’ll be back - thank you!

Nice house, great views & garden and decent location, but like most self-catering style houses with high volume turn-over, some parts of the property look a bit tired and this might be accelerated because the property accepts dogs (it's a good property for those taking a dog or two).
